Wellness is generally used to mean a healthy balance of the mind-body and spirit that results in an overall feeling of well-being.
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being.
One must come to understand the inherent interconnection between the mind and body.
Balance comes from the establishment of equilibrium between mind, body, and spirit through the continual cultivation of our daily existence.
Wellness is a journey, not a destination.

The first in the region to offer the service, Gyrotonic® is an exercise modality that guides users to simultaneously stretch and strengthen muscles and tendons while also articulating and mobilizing the joints. Corresponding breathing patterns are engaged during the performance of the exercises, thereby increasing coordination, endurance and aerobic activity. Harmonious with the core philosophy of the Asheville Center for Health Excellence, the foundation for this novel approach to maintaining health and well-being was developed by a professional dancer in his quest to create a system of exercises that anyone could perform, regardless of age or state of health. |
